The heat wave is still all over Europe and here is some Tuesday Motivation!
I would like to start this article with a quote form Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
You might find yourself reading this quote three times before you understand it, basically what it means whatever you think you can accomplish, you will be able to do it and it will happen. If you tell yourself it won’t, that’s went it’s not going to work out. This does not mean you will change the world within a day cause you wish for it, it means that over time things will fall in place the way you want them to become. It also means that the future and whatever you want to achieve is totally up to you and in no one else’s hands apart from yours, so don’t wait for anyone to come around and change it for you.
If you didn’t had the greatest start in the week, a colleague that upset you, knowing that the week will be busier than usual, heads up! This does not have to impact your entire mood or day.
To keep it short:
- Every day is a learning, even though the as-is situation is not always satisfying, this does not have to stay
- Change is not happening overnight, you will have to work for it
- Focus on what you want in the Future and things will fall in place automatically
- Believe in yourself and stop the self-doubt (this is probably the hardest)
To Nr.1 – sometimes we miss to see the bigger picture, a day without any big achievement is not a day a wasted, review small things you learned and experiences made and try to understand how they could work together with future goals. It will make it easier to focus on it this way rather than being unsatisfied cause you just had a normal day
To Nr.2 – This is really testing your patience. We all have goals some are more ambitious others less, but it doesn’t matter how big or small, it will not happen from one day to another, you will have to work towards it and one day it will fall in place exactly as you imagined it. Not because you waited for it but because you worked towards it. If you want to change jobs, move cities etc. have a look which small day by day activities can lead you closer to your goal.
To Nr.3 – Future plans are here to be lived and embraced but also to be changed, focus on the bigger picture and plan according to it rather than setting goals for next week. This can be an exercise goal or a new language to learn, for me it is even this blog on day I would like to have more readers and more of your comments and feedback, the longer I am working on it the more results I see. If you are doing something that does not match in your aims and future goals, see how you can change it or make it valuable for the time being.
To Nr.4 – There will be days where nothing is working out, there will be days were you are questioning yourself, the decisions you made so far and where you want to go. During these days try to review everything as objective as you can and take a breath, this is normally what helps me to get back on track.
Basically just tell yourself: I can & I will.
